How it works

From request to sealed document

  1. Request

Send the booking form or call. Tell me the document type, number of signers and where you'd like to meet.

  2. Confirm

I confirm the time and total fee in writing, so there are no surprises at the table.

  3. Meet

I verify each signer's ID, confirm everyone is signing willingly, and witness the signatures.

  4. Seal

I complete the certificate, apply my seal and record the act in my notary journal.

What to have ready

  • A current government-issued photo ID for every signer (driver license, state ID, passport or military ID)
  • The complete document, left unsigned
  • Witnesses if your document needs them. Deeds and wills in Florida usually need two.

What a notary can't do

  • Give legal advice or tell you which form you need
  • Notarize a document with blank spaces
  • Notarize for a signer who doesn't appear or can't be identified

Kashae Barclay, notary public in Ocala, Florida

About

Hi, I'm Kashae Barclay

I'm a Florida Notary Public, Remote Online Notary and NNA Certified Signing Agent. Through Kashae B Notary Service, a service of Peach Ka Vot Co Inc., I help individuals, families, businesses and real estate professionals with general notarizations, real estate documents, loan signings, affidavits, acknowledgments, powers of attorney and other documents that need a notary.

A notary's seal tells everyone a document was signed by the right person, willingly, in front of a commissioned official. I take that seriously, and I try to make the appointment calm, quick and easy to schedule.

Questions

Before you book

How soon can you come?

Often the same day within Ocala. I take appointments seven days a week: 10am to 10pm Monday through Thursday, and 10am to 6pm Friday through Sunday.

Should I sign the document before you arrive?

No. Please wait. For most documents the signer has to sign in front of me, or confirm the signature in person.

Can you notarize for a family member?

Florida doesn't allow a notary to notarize the signature of their spouse, child, parent, or certain other relatives, so I may refer you to another notary.

What do I need for a remote online notarization?

A computer, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone, a steady internet connection, a valid photo ID, and the document as a PDF. I'll send you a link to the session.
